This fact clearly enraged a group of boys in the class, who couldn't fathom that their female peer would do a better job. One gave a thinly veiled presentation in class on "pretty privilege" to make her look bad, while others loudly insinuated in front of their professor that she must have gotten help from a PhD student she was seeing. Given the pettiness of these lame revenge plots, it's shocking these guys were so surprised when the Redditor decided to take action and stand up for herself.
